“Owning the same car for thirty years is a strange thing. In that time you get all the original experiences as well as the mid-life nostalgic attempts to recapture the slightest hint of the original feeling, all without every purchasing a new vehicle. In my case, that vehicle happens to be an 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser that I’ve had since 1989. It was my senior year of high school and I was going to be moving to Colorado for school the next fall. I can’t even recall where I had originally seen a Land Cruiser, but as luck would have it, someone put an ad in the back of the New York Times for one in Connecticut...”
